SOD and a-Lipoic acid along with catalase is an extremely potent combination of anti-oxidant enzymes.  Many kinds of cell damage include the release of potent oxidizing agents, free-radicals, etc. which can cause damaging chain-reactions in cells.  Radiation damage (sun-burns, etc) are an example of this type of damage.  LipoSOD is designed to stop this damage in its tracks and help the normal cell repair mechanisms begin to heal the damage.
