Multi-level marketing companies are probably the worst when it comes to price.  Usually they provide very good products, but they are over- priced due to tremendous marketing expenses.  Consequently a significant number of individuals joining multi-level marketing companies are joining merely to receive a quality product at a discounted price, which while still too high, but better than full retail. Besides being overcharged, many multi-level companies require their distributors to pay an annual fee for the privilege of being overcharged. As you might expect, our prices may be a little higher than a nutritional company distributing synthetic nutritional supplements. You should note that our ingredients are listed on a per capsule or tablet basis.  Many other companies will attempt to make their product look more potent by listing the contents as per 2, 3 or more capsules or tablets. Many miss the fact that dosages are sometimes listed in terms of multiple tablets or capsules leaving the impression that the ingredient levels are much higher than they actually are. ABOUT OUR SPECIAL FORMULAS

Every special formula in our line was formulated after hours of research into every ingredient that was used.  We have consulted nutritionally oriented medical doctors, nutritionists, naturopaths and other health professionals. In addition, we have examined hundreds of pages of text on herbs, vitamins, minerals, glandulars, and everything other imaginable nutritional component. Although we have done our best to insure that we have designed the best possible formulation, new discoveries are being made in the nutritional frontier every day.  Since we make a point of having up to date information in the field of nutrition, on occasion we will change our nutritional formulas to bring our formulas up to date, making them even more effective. Any changes that are made will always be done with consideration to cost and effectiveness.

IF CAPSULES ARE BEST, WHY USE TABLETS AT ALL?

Whenever possible, we have designed our formulas to be delivered in capsule form for maximum efficiency.  However, in some cases it is necessary to produce a product in tablet form. Tablet formulas are formulated with the knowledge that tablets are not typically broken down and assimilated as easily as capsules. Therefore when a formula is produced in tablet form, it is formulated using natural binders and lubricants that will not inhibit digestion, and in fact will be easily broken down, digested and assimilated by anyone.  Anytime a tablet form is used; it is used for a good reason.  The primary reason for producing any product in tablet form would be to enhance the assimilation of the ingredients of specific formulas.  For instance, while most nutrients are not harmed by stomach acid and some actually need it, many pancreatic enzymes are very sensitive, and can be easily destroyed by stomach acids. Since coating a capsule is nearly impossible, we must rely on any pancreatic enzyme formulas in tablet form only.  By putting a coating on the tablets known as an enteric coating, the enzymes are protected from destruction by the hydrochloric acid of the stomach. To further protect our enzymes, we use a specific pharmaceutical grade enteric coating that begins to dissolve at a specific pH.  Many of our competitors use only a simple protein coating.  This can be a problem for several reasons. First, the tablet must pass through the stomach before the stomach acid dissolves the protein coating. If the tablet does not pass through the stomach soon enough, the stomach acid digests the protective protein coating and begins to destroy the enzymes. Conversely, if the tablet does survive the stomach, the environment of the duodenum may not be capable of breaking down the protein coating any further, and the tablet is passed through the system undigested.  By applying a special pH sensitive enteric coating that is not digestible by acid, the tablet is guaranteed to reach the duodenum where the thin enteric coating is stripped and the contents absorbed.  Since the stomach delivers nutrients to the duodenum for absorption, this is a highly efficient way to deliver enzymes for assimilation. Pancreatic enzymes as well as many vegetable enzymes can not be efficiently utilized if they are in a capsule form or a non-enteric coated tablet form because they can not survive the acid environment of the stomach. We have several unique two-phase tablets that require the first phase to be delivered to the stomach and the second phase to the duodenum. This is typically done to maximize the nutritional benefit of such formulas.

There are other reasons for putting specific products in tablet form.  Because space is limited in a capsule, the quantity of nutrients is one reason.  In a few cases we have cut the quantity of ingredients slightly in our formulas to facilitate them in a capsule form.  Since tablets are compressed and the sizes vary, a much larger quantity can be put into tablet form, but we try to avoid it when possible. This is why on occasion our formulas in capsule form may contain a little less than someone else’s formulas in tablet form. Even though tablets are less expensive to produce because the technology is more simple, you will find that our prices are by far still better even with delivering more active ingredients in an extra dose. Depending on what is used as binders and lubricants, the additional ingredients required in the tableting process may be more difficult to digest and absorb depending on how much someone wants to save on the tableting process. For this reason, we use only natural ingredients that can be easily digested, and absorbed whenever we find it necessary to produce a product in tablet form.

Our garlic tablet is another good example of why you may prefer a tablet.  Our garlic tablet is concentrated garlic that has pH sensitive coating, so that whole garlic, not an allicin-free extract, can be used without having garlic odor on your breath. The garlic is delivered to the duodenum by the stomach while still in the tablet form. This allows for efficient absorption without the odor.  By not using deodorized garlic, you preserve the nutritional integrity of garlic. The one important question to ask when using an odorless garlic is this: What other nutritional components are being removed when the odor is removed from the garlic?

NATURAL VERSUS SYNTHETIC

Our supplements are all natural. The argument is commonly made that synthetic nutrients are the same as natural and appear the same under examination with a microscope. This is only partially true. The molecular structure of a synthetic "vitamin" is often the mirror image of the natural. Furthermore, the synergistic micronutrient nutritional factors present in natural substances are not at all present in the synthetics. It has been argued that the body can utilize very little of the chemically produced synthetics, yet signaling the body that it has plenty of the supplemented nutrient ultimately leading to a deficiency of that particular nutrient!  This theory has not been fully proven, but many naturopaths and other nutritionally oriented practitioners have noted that their patients do not respond well if at all to synthetic nutrients.
